A Century of Scouting!

The O'Donnell Family has been involved with Troop 7 for 55 years.  Oldest brother Brendan crossed over from Pack 228 in June of 1960.  Dr. John O'Donnell, an Eagle Scout and former Scoutmaster of a Troop in White Plains, NY joined the Committee and became the Advancement Chairman. Dr. O'Donnell held this position until stepping down in 1993.  Along the way brothers Brendan, Kevin, Jack, Bill, Brian, Steve & Bob attained the rank of Eagle Scout. In 1978 the O'Donnell family and a family in Ohio had the most Eagle Scouts in an immediate family in all of America: eight Eagle Scouts.  In March 1997, when Steve's son Ryan crossed over from Pack 111, Steve became an Assistant Scoutmaster and his wife Barbara became the Treasurer, a position she still holds.

Steve became the Scoutmaster in 1999 and then the Committee Chairman in 2005 when son Ryan attained the rank of Eagle.

Brendan became an Assistant Scoutmaster in his three son's Troop in Fairfax, Virginia.  Sons Brendan, Sean & Dan, all attained the rank of Eagle.

Brian O'Donnell became the President of the Suffolk County Council, BSA from 2000 to 2001.

Youngest sister Eileen has two sons, Matt and Alex, who are both on the Eagle Trail.
